About ’em

Three veteran blues-jazz musicians, Rick Collura (elec. guitar), Terry Finneran (keys, vocals, blues harp, flute), and Andy Smith (or occasionally Randy Huff) on percussion form the core of the Blue Cats.  This 3 piece combo unites to bring you energy intensive, yet volume controlled original arrangements of favorites from their musical hip pockets. Their experiences include extended support time with local favorites (Willie Pooch, McGuffey Lane, John Schwab, Jim Lynch, Tony Monaco, Dave Workman, Bob Allen, Tom Carrol, Hank Marr, Dave Powers) as well as on stage experience with a variety of national acts including: James Brown, Albert King, Luther Allison, Johnny Winter, Tom Scott, Leo Kotke, Johnny Paycheck, Jesus Christ Superstar tour, Dane Donahue, The Griswolds, Ray Guy Blues Band, etc., etc.

Blue Cats trio:  Perfect for a lighter, jazzier set on the patio or small venue.  Our Bose sound system output is clean and controlled.

Blue Cats 4:  Adding bass man York Procter beefs up the overall sound and allows the addition of organ (B3 like) and blues harp as well as extending  the repertoire to include a greater variety of selections.  You can hear some 4 piece versions on the “Listen Here” tab.

Rick is the featured elec. guitar on “Funk-N-Blues with Willie Pooch and Tony Monaco.  Terry contributes keys and blues harp on ½ dozen tunes on The Griswold’s “The Later it Gets, the Better I Feel”.  These CDs are available at Amazon.com.
